Shimla Trails

Past few months have been so busy month with work, catching up with family and celebrations:). Seeking refuge I headed for a break early this month to Shimla plus it was my sister’s birthday too. In Shimla amidst hanging out at the mall, checking out bakeries (national bakery has some amazing cookies) and having Kukerz (local delicacy which you will find only at Krishna Bakers) I thought it would be a good idea to wake up a little early and capture the simplicity of this beautiful forested hill road that I had identified earlier.

I bought this really delicate looking midi skirt in net fabric with maroon thread embroidery during one my visits abroad and had not once worn it since. I kept is simple by pairing it up with a black bow crop top, barring earrings I wore no jewelry as I thought the skirt itself worked as a highlight anything brighter would have looked over the top, My strappy heels in gold & black covered up for any amount of bling that was required in this look.

So if you are already wondering what to wear to your Christmas/ new year’s party or to one of the numerous cocktail & engagement parties that are lined up for you this wedding season , you may want to try this look with a flared pleated midi skirt.
